Kristi is the school counselor at Skelly Primary. She enjoys the opportunity to work with all the children on social emotional learning. Kristi has a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from the University of Indiana. She also obtained her master's degree in clinical psychology from Eastern Illinois University. Following grad school she came to Oklahoma in 2000 and completed the requirements to become a licensed professional counselor. As a LPC she worked in community mental health for almost 14 years. Kristi has always enjoyed working with children and her community health experience was with children and their families. After considering getting her teaching certificate for several years she finally made the change, getting her teaching certificate in 2013 and coming to Skelly in January of 2014. Outside of school Kristi enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys. She also loves to bake.
